canvas

Canvas is extremely durable and tear-resistant. To keep it supple, it just needs to be worn, over and over again. If your shoe is heavily soiled, you can clean it with a standard eraser sponge without much water. The sailcloth also tolerates a commercially available eco-impregnation, eg from Colonil. We generally do without additional impregnations.

sole

The sole can be washed with water and soapy water. If the sole is made of natural rubber, a natural material, the color can change due to environmental influences such as salt water.

leather

We attach great importance to the materials that come into direct contact with the foot. That's why we use particularly skin-friendly leather for the inner lining. Our OAK leather comes from Portugal, is tanned chrome-free and left natural. This low-emission production minimizes the formation of allergens. The leather is extremely soft, has an antiperspirant and antifungal effect. Since our eco-leather is not impregnated with harmful PFC, you should not expose your shoe to extreme moisture conditions. The shoes don't belong in the washing machine either. The high-quality leather could discolor and unnecessary abrasion is also generated, which gets directly into our water. Long-term care includes wearing the shoe for just one day and then changing it. In this way, the shoe can release the moisture stored by wearing it. This also avoids discoloration.
